About Adriatique
Biography / Discography
Adriatique is a Swiss electronic music duo formed by Adrian Shala and Adrian Schweizer, who met within Zurich’s club scene in 2008 and began producing and performing together as Adriatique in 2009. The project takes its name from the shared first name of its two members. Known for a melodic strand of house and techno, the duo built their reputation through the European underground club circuit before signing to Diynamic Music, the label founded by Solomun, around 2012.
In 2016 Shala and Schweizer launched their own imprint, Siamese, to release their own material and support other artists in the melodic house and techno space. The following year they recorded a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. Their debut studio album, Nude, was released in September 2018 through Afterlife Records, the label co-founded by Tale of Us, marking an expansion of their production style beyond club-focused singles and EPs.
Adriatique have built a touring career centered on festival and club appearances across the international electronic music circuit, and in 2023 performed a livestreamed set at the Temple of Hatshepsut in Luxor, Egypt, as part of the Cercle concert series. The duo continues to release music and DJ internationally, and is available to book for festivals, corporate events and private shows.
