About Audiofreq
Biography / Discography
Audiofreq, the stage name of Australian producer Sam Gonzalez, is a hardstyle DJ and producer best known both for his solo work and as one half of the duo Bioweapon, alongside fellow Australian hardstyle artist Code Black. Originating from Sydney’s underground hard-dance scene, Audiofreq built his profile domestically before expanding into the European hardstyle circuit, where the genre has its largest audience.
As Bioweapon, Audiofreq and Code Black were an active act in the Australian and European hardstyle scenes prior to Code Black’s move to a solo career around 2011. The duo reunited for further releases and performances in 2015 after a hiatus, and have continued to be associated with new material since. Audiofreq’s output, released through hardstyle-focused labels and digital platforms including Beatport, Spotify and Discogs, sits within the harder, more euphoric and raw styles associated with the genre.
Audiofreq has performed at hard dance and hardstyle events as part of the international festival circuit associated with the genre, alongside his work as a solo recording artist. He is available to book for festivals, club nights and private events.
