About Bobby Bazini
Biography / Discography
Bobby Bazini is a French Canadian singer-songwriter from Mont-Laurier, Quebec, born in 1989. Known for his blend of soul, folk, and pop, Bazini achieved significant commercial success in Canada, earning two Juno Award nominations in 2011 and establishing himself as one of the country’s most commercially successful contemporary artists in the 2010s.
Bazini’s debut album Better In Time (2010) peaked at number four on the Canadian Albums Chart and was certified platinum with over 80,000 copies sold. His breakthrough second album Where I Belong (2014) topped the Canadian charts and was certified platinum with over 100,000 copies sold within its first year, making it the best-selling Canadian album of 2014. Recorded in California with producer Larry Klein, the album showcased live-sounding folk and soul arrangements featuring acclaimed musicians including Booker T. Jones on organ and Jay Bellerose on drums.
For his third studio album Summer Is Gone (2016), Bazini collaborated with high-profile producers and songwriters including Jake Gosling, Martin Terefe, and Eg White. He has performed at major venues including the Montreal International Jazz Festival to an audience of approximately 60,000 in 2014 and the Stanley Cup 125th Tribute Concert in 2017.
