DMC, also known as Darryl McDaniels, is a pioneering figure in the world of hip hop and a founding member of the legendary group Run-D.M.C. Formed in Hollis, Queens, New York in 1983, Run-D.M.C. quickly rose to fame and redefined the landscape of hip hop music and culture. The group, comprised of DMC, Joseph “Run” Simmons, and Jason “Jam Master Jay” Mizell, was known for its innovative style that blended rap with rock influences, making their music universally appealing and groundbreaking.
