About Felix Cartal
Biography / Discography
Taelor Deitcher, better known by his stage name Felix Cartal, is a Canadian electronic dance music producer and DJ from Vancouver. Since breaking into the international music scene in the mid-2000s, he has become known for his collaborations with vocalists across the EDM scene and has released five studio albums spanning aggressive, bass-driven production to more melodic electronic compositions.
Cartal released his first EP, Skeleton, in 2009 through Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records following early recognition on the European club circuit. His debut album, Popular Music (2010), established his signature sound with singles including “Volanco” and “World Class Driver.” His second album, Different Faces (2012), shifted toward catchier melodies while maintaining aggressive undertones, charting on the iTunes Top 10 Electronic chart in North America. A career milestone came with his 2017 remix of New Radicals’ “Get What You Give,” which earned his first certified Gold Record.
Subsequent studio albums—Next Season (2018), Expensive Sounds for Nice People (2021), and I, Sabotage (2025)—showcased his evolving production style and collaborations with major artists including Kaskade, R3hab, and vocalists such as Iselin Solheim and Kiiara. Cartal has performed at major festivals including Electric Daisy Carnival and South by Southwest, and toured extensively across North America and Europe. He also produced The Weekend Workout, a weekly podcast broadcast on SiriusXM from 2012 onward, featuring emerging electronic music and unreleased material.
