About Felix Da Housecat
Biography / Discography
Felix da Housecat (born Felix Stallings Jr., August 25, 1971) is an American DJ and record producer from Chicago. A founding figure in the second wave of Chicago house music, he is known for blending house, electroclash, and electronic dance music with experimental production and collaborations.
Stallings released his first single, Phantasy Girl, in 1987 at age 15 under the mentorship of acid house pioneer DJ Pierre. After graduating from Alabama State University, he built a reputation in Europe and the US through releases on Guerilla Records, Bush Records, and his own Radikal Fear label. His 2001 album Kittenz and Thee Glitz, produced with Tommie Sunshine and others, achieved mainstream recognition and won Best Album at the Muzik Awards. The success led to high-profile remix work for Madonna, Britney Spears, and Kylie Minogue, among others.
Throughout the 2000s, Felix released albums including Devin Dazzle & the Neon Fever (2004), Virgo Blaktro and the Movie Disco (2007) on Nettwerk Records, and He Was King (2009). His music has been featured in video games including Midnight Club 2, SSX 3, and Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland, as well as television series and films. Felix remains an active touring artist and is available to book for festivals, corporate events, and private shows.
