About Gramophonedzie
Biography / Discography
Marko Milićević, professionally known as Gramophonedzie, is a Serbian house and electronic music DJ from Belgrade. He rose to international prominence with his 2010 single “Why Don’t You”, which reached number 12 on the UK Singles Chart and became a major crossover hit in Belgium and the Netherlands.
Gramophonedzie began his electronic music career in 2000, studying at the prestigious Red Bull Music Academy in Ireland. Throughout the 2000s, he established himself as a sought-after producer and performer, collaborating with prominent figures in house and electronic music such as Tom Novy, Basement Jaxx, Junior Jack, and Bob Sinclar. He also gained recognition for producing theme songs for regional versions of the television series Big Brother across the Balkans.
Following the success of “Why Don’t You”, Gramophonedzie released a series of singles that solidified his standing in the international dance music scene. His subsequent releases included “Out of My Head” (2010), “No Sugar” featuring Joey Negro and Shea Soul (2012), “Number One” (2012), and “Not My Groove” (2013). These releases further cemented his position as a distinctive voice in contemporary house and electronic production, balancing dancefloor appeal with studio sophistication.
