Laidback Luke (Lucas Cornelis van Scheppingen) is a Filipino-born Dutch DJ and music producer widely recognized as a key figure in the development of electro house and Dutch house music. Born in Manila in 1976 and based in the Netherlands, Luke rose to prominence in the late 2000s through his innovative production work and performances at major international festivals and clubs. In addition to his work as a performing and recording artist, Luke co-founded Mixmash Records, a label that became influential in promoting electro house and progressive house releases.
