About Leoš Mareš
Biography / Discography
Leoš Mareš is a Czech television and radio presenter and singer born on 27 April 1976 in Beroun. He is best known for hosting major music television programmes including Česko hledá SuperStar, X Factor, and Hlas Česko Slovenska, as well as serving as a judge on Česko Slovensko má talent. He is one of the highest-paid television presenters in the Czech Republic.
Mareš joined the national radio station Evropa 2 in 1997 and has presented the station’s morning show since 1998 alongside co-host Patrik Hezucký. He also hosted TV Nova’s music programme Eso from 2003 to 2009. In 2012, Mareš and his morning show team won the Czech Moderátor roku award. In 2014, Forbes magazine listed him as one of the 50 most influential people in Czech media.
As a recording artist, Mareš released three studio albums through Universal Music Group between 2001 and 2003: Tři Slova, Minuty Se Vleču, and Nejlepší Nápad. His career shifted toward television and radio presenting, where he has maintained a prominent profile as one of the Czech Republic’s most recognizable media personalities.
