About Mark Knight
Biography / Discography
Mark Knight is a British disc jockey and house music producer born on 20 June 1973. He is best known as the founder of Toolroom Records, established in 2003 as one of the United Kingdom’s premier house, tech house and dance music labels, hosting artists including David Guetta and Deadmau5.
Throughout his career, Knight has released numerous singles and remixes across house and tech house genres. His notable releases include “Man With The Red Face” with Funkagenda (2008), which won Track of the Season at the DJ Awards, and “Second Story” (2015), which BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong designated as an essential tune. Knight was nominated for a Grammy Award for his contributions to the Black Eyed Peas’ album The E.N.D. and was inducted into Pete Tong’s Hall of Fame in 2015.
Knight released his debut album A Year in the Life in 2016, a retrospective mix of his previous year’s releases, followed by Untold Business in 2021. His discography includes remixes for major artists such as Florence and the Machine, David Guetta, and SG Lewis.
