About MAX
Biography / Discography
MAX is an American pop singer and actor whose real name is Maxwell George Schneider. Born June 21, 1992 in New York, he achieved international breakthrough with his 2016 single “Lights Down Low” featuring Gnash. The track, lifted from his second album Hell’s Kitchen Angel, reached the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 and earned triple platinum certification in the United States, establishing him as a prominent emerging pop artist.
Schneider’s entertainment career began in childhood, with professional representation secured by age 14. He performed as a swing understudy in the Broadway musical 13 (2008-2009) and appeared in television productions including Nickelodeon’s How to Rock and the original film Rags. His music catalog includes the studio albums NWL (2015), Hell’s Kitchen Angel (2016), Colour Vision (2020), and Love in Stereo (2024). In 2020, he signed with Arista Records to expand his pop music reach.
Throughout his career, MAX has collaborated with artists across multiple genres, including Noah Cyrus, Quinn XCII, Hayley Kiyoko, and South Korean artist Suga of BTS.
