About Mousse T.
Biography / Discography
Mustafa Gündoğdu, professionally known as Mousse T., is a German DJ, record producer, and film composer born in Hagen in 1966. He emerged as a pioneering figure in German house and acid jazz music, founding Peppermint Jam Records in 1993 alongside partner Errol Rennalls to specialize in uplifting house and melodic electronic production.
His international breakthrough came with the 1998 track Horny ’98, featuring Hot ‘n’ Juicy on vocals and a memorable refrain performed by Inaya Day, which topped Billboard’s dance charts and reached the top 20 in the UK and Australia. The single featured prominently on Chef Aid: The South Park Album and established him as a key figure in late-1990s electronic music. His subsequent collaboration with legendary singer Tom Jones on Sex Bomb (released 2000 from Jones’ album Reload) further solidified his reputation across genre boundaries.
Throughout his career, Mousse T. has released multiple studio albums including Gourmet de Funk (2002) and All Nite Madness (2004), and has produced and remixed work for international artists ranging from Michael Jackson and Kylie Minogue to Tarkan and Bootsy Collins. Beyond music production, he has composed film scores and served as a judge on Deutschland sucht den Superstar.
