About Myslovitz
Biography / Discography
Myslovitz, formed in 1992 in Mysłowice, Poland, is one of the country’s most influential rock bands, known for their blend of alternative rock, indie, and Britpop. The band was founded by Artur Rojek (vocals, guitar), alongside musicians who shaped their signature melancholic yet powerful sound.
Their early albums, such as Myslovitz (1995) and Sun Machine (1996), established their presence in the Polish music scene, but it was Miłość w czasach popkultury (1999) that became their breakthrough. Songs like “Długość dźwięku samotności” and “Chłopcy” became massive hits, defining a generation of listeners.
Myslovitz also gained international recognition, signing with Capitol Records and performing across Europe. Their English-language album Korova Milky Bar (2003) introduced them to a wider audience. In 2012, Artur Rojek departed to pursue a solo career, but the band continued with a new vocalist, Michał Kowalonek, keeping their legacy alive.
With their poetic lyrics, cinematic soundscapes, and emotional depth, Myslovitz remains one of Poland’s most beloved and enduring bands, continuing to inspire fans old and new.
