About Peter Bič Project
Biography / Discography
Peter Bič Project is a Slovak pop-rock band from Košice, formed in 2010 by guitarist Peter Bič after he left the band IMT Smile. The founding lineup featured vocalist Dáša Kostovčíková, singer Ivo Bič, keyboardist Matúš Pavlík, drummer Jozef Zima and bassist Vladimír Čekan. The group is best known for its breakthrough single from the album Say It Loud and for winning the Slávik poll in 2012.
In June 2011 the Swedish duo Roxette selected Peter Bič Project as the opening act for their concert at Steel Aréna in Košice. The band released its debut studio album Say It Loud in 2012, followed by Just a Story in 2015, Dream in 2017, Labyrint in 2019 and Hlava in 2021. A compilation, To najlepšie z nás, appeared in 2023, and a live album, Naživo, followed in 2024.
The lineup changed in late 2016 with the arrival of vocalist Viktória Vargová and keyboardist Zoli Tóth. The current lineup includes founder Peter Bič on guitar and vocals, Viktória Vargová on vocals and trumpet, Fero Jano on violin, accordion and guitar, Richard Rohač on bass, Eduard Kiss on drums, Tomáš Javnický on saxophone and Tomy Ferko on keyboards. The band won the OTO audience award for best musical group in 2019 and received the Kišťaľové krídlo award in March 2022.
