About SHDW & Obscure Shape
Biography / Discography
SHDW & Obscure Shape is a German techno production and DJ duo consisting of Marco Bläsi (SHDW) and Luigi Urban (Obscure Shape), based in Stuttgart. The partnership blends dark, industrial-inflected techno aesthetics with precise production craft, earning them recognition on the European electronic music circuit.
The duo released foundational EPs throughout the mid-2010s including When Die Masken Fallen (2015), Nachtblende (2015), Die Weiße Rose (2016), and Himmel Und Erde (2017), establishing their signature sound. Both the Version 004 series (2017) and later works like Die Augen Des Teufels (2018) and Die Zunge Des Todes demonstrate their technical proficiency and commitment to Germany’s techno heritage. SHDW & Obscure Shape founded the independent label From Another Mind in 2015, extending their artistic vision into artist development and curation. A second imprint, Mutual Rytm, launched in 2022.
Known for live performances at premier European techno institutions including Time Warp, Nature One, Sonus Festival, and Stuttgart Electronic Music Festival, the duo is available to book for festivals, club residencies, and curated electronic music events.
