Thomas Gold is a German DJ and electronic music producer based in Berlin, specializing in progressive house and tech house. Beginning with trance-based productions early in his career, Gold evolved into a recognized figure in the international dance music scene, achieving a DJ Magazine Top 100 DJs ranking of number 82 in 2012.
Gold’s breakthrough came through his 2008 remix of ‘Silence’ by Delerium, which won the Beatport Music Award for Best Progressive House Song. Subsequent notable releases include ‘Everybody Be Somebody’ (with Matthias Menck), ‘Shake It (Move a Little Closer)’ (with Lee Cabrera), and the 2011 track ‘Alive’ (with Dirty South), which earned BBC Radio 1 Essential New Tune status and reached number two on the Beatport charts.
