About Yellow Claw
Biography / Discography
Yellow Claw is a Dutch DJ and record production duo from Amsterdam, consisting of Jim Taihuttu and Nils Rondhuis. Formed in 2010, they initially gained prominence hosting parties at Amsterdam’s Jimmy Woo nightclub before transitioning to studio production. Their sound blends trap, moombahton, hardstyle, dubstep, and hip hop into a distinctive, genre-crossing electronic music style.
The pair achieved rapid commercial success during 2012–2013 with singles including ‘Krokobil’, ‘Nooit Meer Slapen’, ‘Thunder’, and ‘Last Night Ever’, which charted on Dutch and Belgian radio. Following their 2013 signing to Diplo’s Mad Decent label, Yellow Claw expanded their reach through strategic collaborations with producers and artists including Flosstradamus, Rochelle, DJ Mustard, Tyga, and DJ Snake. The duo has released five studio albums: Blood for Mercy (2015), Los Amsterdam (2017), New Blood (2018), Never Dies (2020), and Jesus Loves Trap Music (2026).
In 2014, Yellow Claw established Barong Family, an independent record label that has grown to over 600 releases and become a leading platform for Dutch electronic music. The duo has performed at major international festivals including Tomorrowland and EDC Las Vegas, building a substantial fanbase across streaming platforms and live venues.
