About Edis
Biography / Discography
Edis, born Edis Görgülü on 28 November 1990, is a Turkish singer-songwriter performing Turkish pop music. Born in London and raised in İzmir before settling in Istanbul, he is best known for a string of top-charting singles on the Turkish pop scene and for his breakthrough hit “Roman,” which topped Turkish charts.
Edis first gained public recognition through acting, appearing in the television series Dinle Sevgili (2011-2012) and films such as Hayatımın Rolü (2012), a Turkish adaptation of Mrs. Doubtfire, before shifting his focus to a music career. His early singles “Benim Ol” (2014), “Dudak” (2016) and “Çok Çok” (2017) each reached number two on the Türkçe Top 20 chart, building his profile as a recording artist.
He released his debut studio album, Ân, in March 2018, consolidating his position in Turkish pop music. Over the course of his career he has received multiple honors, including a Turkey Music Award, recognizing his contributions to the Turkish music industry.
