About Kevin Lyttle
Biography / Discography
Lescott Kevin Lyttle Coombs is a soca singer from Saint Vincent and The Grenadines, born 14 September 1976. He rose to international prominence in 2003 with his hit single “Turn Me On,” a collaboration with dancehall artist Spragga Benz. The track reached number four on the US Billboard Hot 100, number two in the UK, and number three in Australia, establishing him as a major crossover artist. He had originally recorded the song as a soca ballad in 2001 before signing with Atlantic Records in 2002.
Lyttle’s self-titled debut album, Kevin Lyttle, was released in July 2004 and achieved gold certification in the US while charting in the top 10. Subsequent singles including “Last Drop” and “Drive Me Crazy” saw limited commercial success. In 2007, he performed at the Cricket World Cup opening ceremony in Jamaica alongside Byron Lee and Arrow. He founded his own record label, Tarakon Records, in 2007. His later studio albums include Fyah (2008), I Love Carnival (2012), and featured collaborations with artists such as Alison Hinds, Flo Rida, and Shaggy. In 2016 and 2017, his signature track “Turn Me On” was sampled by Cheat Codes and Chris Brown, reintroducing his work to wider audiences.
