About maye
Biography / Discography
Maye (Maria Alejandra Osorio, born December 1, 1993) is a Venezuelan-American pop singer-songwriter from Caracas who relocated to Miami at a young age. She is best known for her single ‘Tú’, which was featured on former U.S. President Barack Obama’s 2020 summer playlist. Her music is characterized by an organic fusion of dream pop, indie rock, bolero, and bossa nova influences, noted for her sultry vocals and ethereal energy.
Maye began songwriting at age eight and learned guitar at fifteen, initially composing in English before her father, Latin Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Fernando Osorio, encouraged her to explore Spanish-language songwriting. She contributed to the songwriting of Aitana’s 2019 debut album Spoiler and collaborated with Danny Ocean on ‘Dime Tú’. Her debut single ‘My Love’ (March 2019) led to a publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music.
Since 2019, Maye has released numerous singles including ‘Tú’ (2019), ‘La Canción’ (2020), ‘Yours’ and ‘Versos de Placer’ (2021), ‘Descifrar’ and ‘Maybe Baby’ (2022), and ‘Kaleidoscope’ (2023). She opened for The Marias’ CINEMA tour and Faye Webster in 2023. Her debut album Música Para Abrir El Cielo, released June 27, 2025, was noted by Billboard as one of the best new Latin albums of the week.
