About Rich the Kid
Biography / Discography
Rich the Kid (Dimitri Leslie Roger) is an American rapper and record label founder from Queens, New York. Known for his melodic trap production and collaborations with major hip hop figures, he emerged as a prominent artist in the 2010s after releasing multiple mixtapes beginning in 2013. His breakthrough came with his 2018 debut album The World Is Yours, which peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 and featured the hit single “New Freezer” with Kendrick Lamar and “Plug Walk.”
Following his initial success, Rich the Kid released The World Is Yours 2 (2019), which charted at number four, and Boss Man (2020). He also pioneered collaborative projects, releasing the mixtapes Nobody Safe (2020) with YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Trust Fund Babies (2021) with Lil Wayne. In 2016, he founded Rich Forever Music, an independent record label that signed rappers including Famous Dex and Jay Critch.
His 2024 single “Carnival” (featuring ¥$ with Playboi Carti, produced by Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign) marked a major resurgence, becoming his first song to top the Billboard Hot 100.
