About Sima
Biography / Discography
Sima, the stage name of Simona Hegerova, is a Slovak pop and hip-hop singer from Trnava. She began singing lessons at age nine and first appeared on television as a child, competing on Mini Talent Show and, at 16, on Hlas Cesko Slovenska in 2012, joining Dara Rolins’ team. She built her career on a blend of pop songwriting with rap and hip-hop features, becoming one of Slovakia’s most streamed recording artists.
From 2017, Sima worked closely with rapper Ego of the hip-hop group Kontrafakt, a partnership that produced the albums Femina (2017), Podle seba (2018, peak position number 3), and Bombim (2019, peak position number 6), all of which topped Slovak sales charts. Her single “Toto leto”, a collaboration with rapper Kali, became the most-viewed YouTube music video in Slovakia in 2020. Other notable collaborative singles include “On je len kamarat” (2015) and “Princip vzajomnosti” (2017).
Her 2022 solo album Masterpiece reached number one and dominated Spotify’s Slovak charts for most of the year, and Spotify featured her on a Times Square billboard as part of its EQUAL campaign spotlighting influential female artists worldwide. In 2024 she was named to Forbes Slovakia’s “30 under 30” list. Sima is available to book for festivals, corporate events and private shows.
