About Stealing Sheep
Biography / Discography
Stealing Sheep are a British pop band formed in Liverpool in 2010. The three-member ensemble features Rebecca Hawley on vocals and keys, Emily Lansley on vocals, guitar and bass guitar, and Luciana Mercer on vocals and drums. Drawing influence from electronic and post-punk acts including the Knife, Kraftwerk, Talking Heads, Sia, Daft Punk and Can, the band creates synth-driven pop that blends retro and contemporary electronic production.
Releasing early EPs independently and through the Red Deer Club label between 2009 and 2012, Stealing Sheep established their sound with their 2012 debut album Into the Diamond Sun on Heavenly Recordings. The band has since released Not Real (2015), Big Wows (2019), La Planète Sauvage (2021, a collaboration with The Radiophonic Workshop), Wow Machine (2022) and GLO: Girl Life Online (2025), demonstrating sustained creative output and evolution of their electronic pop aesthetic. Notable live appearances include a 2021 UK tour supporting Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark.
