About Tori Kelly
Biography / Discography
Victoria Loren Kelly, known as Tori Kelly, is an American singer-songwriter from Wildomar, California. Born December 14, 1992, she first gained widespread attention through YouTube videos posted as a teenager, leading to a Hollywood week appearance on American Idol season nine in 2010. She specializes in pop, soul, and R&B with contemporary gospel and neo-soul influences.
Kelly released her independent debut EP, Handmade Songs, in 2012 before signing with Capitol Records in 2013. Her major-label debut, the EP Foreword, reached the top 20 on the Billboard 200. Her first studio album, Unbreakable Smile (2015), peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 and produced three Billboard Hot 100 entries: ‘Nobody Love’, ‘Should’ve Been Us’, and ‘Hollow’.
Her second album, Hiding Place (2018), earned two Grammy Awards for Best Gospel Album and Best Gospel Performance/Song. She followed with Inspired by True Events (2019) and the holiday album A Tori Kelly Christmas (2020), then signed to Epic Records to release Tori (2024) and God Must Really Love Me (2026). Kelly has also voiced Meena in the Sing animated film franchise and competed on the television series The Masked Singer. Throughout her career, she has received three Grammy Awards, two Billboard Music Awards, a BET Award, and a GMA Dove Award.
