About Doddy
Biography / Discography
Doddy, born Dumitru Claudiu Polk on October 20, 1988, in Petroșani, Romania, is a Romanian rapper, singer and music producer. He is best known for blending rap with Latin-pop elements and for a run of Romanian radio hits produced across the 2010s and 2020s.
Doddy debuted in 2012 with the single “Maidanez,” a collaboration with Puya and Alex Velea that won the Best Hip Hop award at the Romanian Music Awards in 2013. In 2014 he scored his first number-one hit, “Bine Mersi,” featuring singer Lora. In 2016 he released “De la zero,” billed as Romania’s first video album. His 2018 collaboration with Lora, “Dor să te ador,” was the most-played Romanian song of that summer.
Doddy has built a discography of singles spanning “Inevitabil va fi bine” (2013), “Rădăcini” (2014), “Klandestin” (2015), “Rezervat” and “Fara sa stii” with Marcel Pavel (2017), “Comsi Comsa” (2019), “Cântec la nai” with Theo Rose and Damian Drăghici (2021), “Adrenalina” with Oana Radu (2023) and “Sub Pielea Mea” featuring Oana Radu (2024).
