About Emir
Biography / Discography
Emir Sevinç is a Turkish pop singer and songwriter born on September 7, 1980, in Istanbul. A graduate of radio and television studies at Marmara University, he established his solo career in 2009 with his debut album Ben Sen Olamam, which featured the hit single of the same name, written and composed by renowned Turkish artist Tarkan.
Following his debut success, Emir released his second album Ateşten Bi’ Rüzgar in 2012, featuring songs such as “Sudan Sebep” and “Veda Gecesi”. In 2013, he released the single “Tutuşmayan Kalmasın”, which earned recognition at multiple university music awards. His 2015 extended play Kendimden further showcased his evolving artistry, with tracks like “Bi’ Ağla” and “Yaylı Yatak” receiving music video support.
Emir’s contributions to Turkish pop music have been recognized with several accolades, including the 2009 Istanbul FM Music Award for “Most Requested Song” for “Eline Düştüm”. In 2014, “Tutuşmayan Kalmasın” was named Best Single at Düzce University’s Media Awards and Best Song at Ege University’s Media Awards. Since 2016, he has released singles on digital platforms, including “Mevsim Sonbahar” under Sony Music.
