About Fly Project
Biography / Discography
Fly Project is a Romanian dance group formed in Bucharest in 2005 by Tudor Ionescu and Dan Deneș. The project gained early recognition with their debut single Raisa, which reached number one on Romanian charts. Known for their energetic dance-pop productions and international appeal, Fly Project became one of Romania’s most successful musical exports, securing extensive touring opportunities across Europe and beyond.
The group’s discography spans multiple successful albums and singles. Their breakthrough came with K-tinne in 2007, which earned Romanian Top Hits awards. Subsequent releases including Brasil, Mandala, Goodbye, Musica, Back In My Life, and Toca Toca achieved chart success across numerous countries including Russia, Greece, Spain, Turkey, Hungary, the Netherlands, and Latin America. Toca Toca became particularly successful, earning a Gold Disc in Italy and remaining on international charts for over a year.
Fly Project’s career achievements include a Best Dance Award and the Border Breaker Award at the 2014 Romanian Music Awards, recognizing their significant international reach and impact. The group continued recording and performing into the 2010s, collaborating with artists including Andra, Misha, and DJ Sava on tracks such as Butterfly and Tenerife.
