About Kadnay
Biography / Discography
Kadnay is a Ukrainian indie-pop group from Kyiv, founded in 2012 by Dmytro Kadnaiev and Pylyp Koliadenko. The act performs original material in Ukrainian, Russian and English, and is known in Ukraine for its national Eurovision selection appearances and indie-scene awards.
The group’s recorded output includes one full-length studio album and three mini-albums (EPs), released over the course of its career. Kadnay took part in Ukraine’s national Eurovision selection process on multiple occasions, reaching the semi-final round in 2017 and again advancing through the selection rounds in 2018, appearing alongside other prominent national-selection contestants of that year.
Kadnay received the Golden Firebird Award in the Indie category in both 2018 and 2019, recognition within Ukraine’s independent music scene for two consecutive years. The group has built its reputation on a multilingual indie-pop sound aimed at both Ukrainian-language and international audiences.
