Biography / Discography
Max Barskih, born Mykola Mykolaiovych Bortnyk (also known by the alter-ego Mickolai), is a Ukrainian singer-songwriter working in pop, electropop and dance-pop. Raised in Kherson, Ukraine, he later relocated to Kyiv to pursue his music career. He performs as a solo male artist and has built a catalog centered on radio-friendly dance-pop singles that have found audiences across Ukraine, Russia and the wider Eastern European pop market.
Over the course of his recording career, Barskih has released seven studio albums, one compilation album, and two extended plays. His output has kept him a consistent presence in Eastern European pop charts and playlists, with a discography built primarily around singles-driven dance-pop and electropop production.
Alongside his main stage name, Barskih has also recorded under the alter-ego Mickolai, reflecting a stylistic side project distinct from his primary pop output. He continues to be active as a recording and performing artist within the Ukrainian and Russian-language pop scene.
