About Mirai
Biography / Discography
MIRAI is a Czech pop-rock-electronic band formed in 2014 in Nový Jičín, consisting of frontman Mirai Navrátil (vocals, guitar), Šimon Bílý (drums), Michal Stulík (bass guitar), and Tomáš Javůrek (guitar). The group emerged from the local music scene when Navrátil and Bílý, who had previously played together in the English-language band Dolls In The Factory, founded MIRAI to pursue Czech-language pop music. The band signed with Universal Music and quickly achieved commercial success.
MIRAI’s breakthrough came with their third single ‘Cesta z města’ (The Way off the City) in 2015, which became a Czech radio staple. Their 2017 single ‘Když nemůžeš, tak přidej’ (If You Are Exhausted, Just Speed Up), which the band submitted to the Europa Song Contest, dominated Czech radio for nine weeks and became the most streamed song of 2017. The accompanying album Konnichiwa (October 2017) achieved platinum certification and featured multiple chart-topping singles including ‘Pojď, zapomenem’ and ‘Anděl’. MIRAI won the Discovery of the Year award at both the 2017 Český slavík and Anděl Awards, establishing themselves as one of the country’s leading contemporary acts.
The band’s subsequent releases include Arigatō (2019), Maneki Neko (2021), and Tomodachi (2024). MIRAI has performed extensively at major Czech summer music festivals and continues to tour domestically. The group is available to book for festivals, corporate events, and private shows.
