Pet Shop Boys are an English synth-pop duo consisting of keyboardist Chris Lowe and vocalist Neil Tennant, formed in London in 1981. Considered one of the most successful duos in music history, they have sold over 100 million records worldwide and achieved 42 top-30 singles on the UK charts, including four number-ones: West End Girls, It’s a Sin, Always on My Mind, and Heart. The duo is credited as a central act of the Second British Invasion of the 1980s and has maintained a recording and touring presence across four decades.
Their breakthrough single West End Girls topped both the UK and US Billboard Hot 100 charts in 1985, establishing them as international stars. Notable collaborations include What Have I Done to Deserve This?, a duet with soul legend Dusty Springfield, and successful cover versions such as Go West.
