About Sickotoy
Biography / Discography
Sickotoy is the professional stage name of Alexandru Florin Cotoi, a Romanian DJ, composer, and record producer born on December 1, 1985. He specializes in electronic dance music (EDM) and house music, establishing himself as both a solo artist and an accomplished music producer. Also known professionally as Alex Cotoi and Kotto, Cotoi began his songwriting career in 2003 and founded the electronic band Sonichouse in October 2007 alongside Radu Dumitriu, Răzvan Gorcinski, and Victor Bourosu. The group released their album Supersonic in April 2011 before disbanding.
As a solo artist, Cotoi achieved significant commercial success with releases in 2019, including “Addicted” featuring Minelli, which peaked at number 2 on the Romanian Airplay 100 chart, and “You Don’t Love Me” featuring Roxen, which reached number 3. He has worked extensively with prominent Romanian and international artists including Delia, Inna, Irina Rimes, Alexandra Stan, Maruv, and Elvana Gjata. In 2022, Cotoi served as a jury member on One True Singer, an HBO Max competition produced by Global Records. He is available to book for festivals, corporate events, and private performances.
