About Damae
Biography / Discography
Damae, stage name of Daniela Marina Elisabeth Klein, is a German singer-songwriter, TV presenter and electronic music vocalist. Born in Cologne in 1979, she became best known as the lead vocalist of the dance music group Fragma, collaborating with producer Ramon Zenker after meeting at his studio. Her debut with Fragma, “You Are Alive,” reached UK No. 4 and established her as a prominent voice in the electronic dance music scene.
Damae’s position in Fragma solidified over two studio albums. “Toca” (2001) featured her on most vocals and achieved gold status in the UK with global commercial success. “Embrace” (2002) marked the first Fragma album with Damae as the sole lead vocalist, spawning UK chart singles including “Say That You’re Here” (No. 21) and “Embrace Me.” Beyond Fragma, Damae has maintained an active solo career and collaborated with numerous artists as a featured vocalist and co-writer, contributing to tracks by Schiller, Alex Guesta, and others across the 2000s and 2010s. She also worked as a presenter for “Dance:District” on onyx.tv in Germany, interviewing major figures in electronic music including Paul van Dyk and Tiësto.
