About Tokio Myers
Biography / Discography
Tokio Myers, born Torville Ashburn M. Jones, is an English pianist and record producer from London known for blending classical piano training with contemporary pop, electronic and sampled production. A scholarship student at the Royal College of Music, he built his early career as a touring and session musician, performing as a supporting act for Kanye West, The Police and Amy Winehouse, touring with Mr Hudson’s band, and backing singer Lianne La Havas on her 2016 European tour.
Myers rose to wider prominence after winning the eleventh series of Britain’s Got Talent in 2017 with piano performances that combined classical repertoire, contemporary songs and electronic production. Following the win, he signed a publishing deal with BMG and released his debut single, “Bloodstream,” in October 2017, followed by his debut studio album, Our Generation, later that same month.
He has since appeared on television programmes including The X Factor and competed in America’s Got Talent: The Champions in 2019, where he performed a medley blending classical and contemporary material. Tokio Myers is available to book for concerts, festivals, corporate events and private shows.
