Christopher Stephen Botti is an American trumpeter and composer born October 12, 1962 in Portland. He is renowned for his versatile musicianship and ability to fuse jazz and pop styles. In 2013, Botti won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Album for his album Impressions, and received additional Grammy nominations in 2008 for Italia and three nominations in 2010 for the live album Chris Botti in Boston. Four of his albums have achieved No. 1 positions on the Billboard jazz albums chart.
Botti came to prominence with his 2001 Night Sessions album, which established him as a versatile musician capable of seamlessly blending jazz and popular music. His distinctive approach across both genres has made him a prominent figure in both jazz and mainstream music circuits.
