About Masterboy
Biography / Discography
Masterboy is a German Eurodance ensemble formed in 1990 by producers DJ Enrico Zabler and Tommy Schleh. The group achieved significant commercial success across Europe throughout the 1990s, establishing themselves as key figures in the Eurodance movement. They are best known for hits including ‘Feel the Heat of the Night’, ‘I Got to Give It Up’, ‘Anybody (Movin’ On)’, ‘Generation of Love’, ‘Everybody Needs Somebody’, and ‘Is This the Love’.
The ensemble’s lineup evolved significantly throughout their career, with vocalists Mendy Lee (1990-1992), Trixi Delgado (1993-1996), Linda Rocco (1996-1998), and Annabell Kay contributing distinctive performances. Their breakthrough came with the 1993 release of ‘I Got to Give It Up’, followed by the 1994 album ‘Different Dreams’. Masterboy maintained consistent European chart presence through the mid-1990s and participated in notable collaborations including the charity project ‘Love Message’.
Following their disbandment in 2003, Masterboy reunited in 2013 for ’90s revival performances at festivals throughout Europe. The reunion drew loyal fanbase interest, leading to new material releases in 2018 after a 15-year recording hiatus. The group continues to perform at nostalgic dance and revival events.
