About Klubbheads
Biography / Discography
Klubbheads is a production and DJ collective from Rotterdam, Netherlands, formed in the mid-1990s by Koen Groeneveld (DJ Boozy Woozy), Addy van der Zwan (Itty Bitty), and Jan Voermans (Greatski). The group became prominent in British and European dance charts with major hits including “Klubbhopping” (1996, UK #10), “Discohopping” (1997, UK #35), and “Kickin’ Hard” (1998, UK #36). Operating under the parent label Blue Records and later their own imprint Digidance, they also co-produced “The Launch” for DJ Jean (1999, UK #2).
Klubbheads are notable for their prolific use of production aliases—over 40 project names including Hi_Tack, Drunkenmunky, DJ Disco, and Da Klubb Kings. As Hi_Tack, they achieved further UK chart success with a remix of “Say Say Say” (2006, UK #4). Their remix and production work extended to tracks by Paul McCartney, Michael Jackson, Usher, and the Police, while their original singles regularly charted on Billboard’s Hot Dance Airplay format. Voermans departed in 2005 after ten years; Groeneveld and van der Zwan continued as a duo under the label Unit 54. Available to book for festivals, corporate events, and private shows.
