About Nothing But Thieves
Biography / Discography
Nothing But Thieves, also known by the shorthand NBT, is an English rock band formed in 2012 in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. The five-piece features lead vocalist and guitarist Conor Mason, guitarists Joe Langridge-Brown and Dominic Craik, bassist Philip Blake and drummer James Price, and is best known for combining alternative rock and indie rock textures with anthemic, radio-friendly hooks.
The band signed to RCA Records in 2014 and released its self-titled debut album in October 2015. Their second album, Broken Machine, followed in September 2017 and peaked at number two on the UK Albums Chart. A companion EP arrived in October 2018, and their third studio album, Moral Panic, was released in October 2020, with an accompanying EP issued in July 2021.
In June 2023, Nothing But Thieves reached a new career peak with Dead Club City, their first album to top the UK Albums Chart. Their sound has drawn comparisons to artists including Jeff Buckley, Foals, Queens of the Stone Age, Royal Blood and Muse, and the band has built a reputation as a prominent live act on the UK and European festival circuit.
