About Taylor Janzen
Biography / Discography
Taylor Janzen is a Canadian solo indie rock musician from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her artistic approach blends introspective songwriting with atmospheric rock arrangements, evolving from intimate bedroom recordings to fully realized band productions that showcase emotional depth and musical maturity.
Janzen’s recording career began in 2017 with an acoustic EP titled Fear & Faith, recorded in her basement. She released her first official EP, Interpersonal, in August 2018 at age 19, establishing her distinctive songwriting voice with four introspective tracks. Her second EP, Shouting Matches (2019), marked a significant creative evolution, featuring full-band arrangements and produced by Mike Mogis in Omaha, Nebraska. Between 2021 and 2023, Janzen released the singles Push It Down and Something Better, building momentum toward her debut full-length album, I Live In Patterns, released in March 2023. The album solidifies her status as a compelling voice in contemporary indie rock, balancing atmospheric production with emotionally resonant songwriting.
In August 2023, Janzen relocated to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue expanded opportunities in the music industry, signaling her continued growth and ambition as a recording and performing artist. Available for booking at festivals, corporate events, and live music venues.
