Young the Giant is an American rock band formed in Irvine, California, in 2004. The band began as the Jakes before rebranding to their current name and signing to Roadrunner Records in 2009. The ensemble features Sameer Gadhia on lead vocals, Jacob Tilley and Eric Cannata on guitars, Payam Doostzadeh on bass guitar, and Francois Comtois on drums. This lineup has become central to the band’s distinctive musical identity.
Young the Giant released their self-titled debut album in 2010, immediately establishing themselves in the alternative and indie rock landscape.
