About Ann Lee
Biography / Discography
Annerley Emma Gordon, professionally known as Ann Lee, is a British Eurodance and Italo-dance singer and songwriter. Born in Sheffield, UK, in 1967, she relocated to Italy in the late 1980s, where she became a key figure in the European dance music scene of the 1990s. She is best known for her breakthrough hit “2 Times,” released in 1998, which achieved top-10 chart positions across Austria, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Australia, and New Zealand, reaching number 2 in the United Kingdom and number 1 in Denmark and Flanders.
Before achieving solo success as Ann Lee, Gordon recorded Eurobeat singles under the Italian label A-Beat-C, performing under the names Annerley Gordon and Annalise. In 1993, she contributed vocals to “The Rhythm of the Night,” released on the DWA record label as part of the Eurodance project Corona. Her debut single “2 Times” was featured as the theme song for the 2001 film Head Over Heels. Her follow-up single “Voices,” released in 1999, achieved top-10 status in the Czech Republic, Denmark, and Spain, and reached the top 30 in the United Kingdom.
Lee continued her recording career into the 2000s and 2010s. She released the album So Alive in 2007, which featured the single “Catches Your Love.” In 2009, she released “2 People” under the Off Limits label and provided vocals for Favretto’s single “I Get The Feeling,” also released by Off Limits.
