About Layzee aka Mr. President
Biography / Discography
Mr. President was a German Euro-Dance trio formed in Bremen in 1991. Specializing in eurodance and synth-pop, the group emerged during the peak of that genre in Europe and recorded multiple singles and albums. The trio performed under both their primary name and the alternate name Coco Jamboo, contributing to the broad electronic dance music landscape of the 1990s with synthesizer-driven pop compositions.
Active throughout the 1990s and 2000s, Mr. President maintained a significant presence in the German and European eurodance scene. The group was part of a generation of electronic dance music artists from Germany who achieved commercial success during the eurodance boom, which blended electronic production with pop hooks accessible to mainstream audiences. Their catalog reflected the genre’s characteristic sound: upbeat, synthesized arrangements paired with pop melodies.
Mr. President disbanded in 2008, concluding a seventeen-year career as recording and performing artists in electronic dance music. During their active years, they helped establish Germany as a notable center for eurodance production and performance.
