Maroon 5 is an American pop rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 2001, following the previous incarnation of Kara’s Flowers. The group features lead vocalist and guitarist Adam Levine, alongside guitarists Jesse Carmichael and James Valentine, drummer Matt Flynn, keyboardist PJ Morton, and bassist Sam Farrar.
