About Randi
Biography / Discography
Randi, the stage name of Andrei Ștefan Ropcea, is a Romanian singer best known as one half of the eurodance group Morandi, alongside Marius Moga. Formed in September 2004, Morandi began as a duo before expanding into a group with the addition of a percussionist and two disc jockeys, blending dance-pop and eurodance production with Romanian-language and English-language vocals.
Morandi’s debut album, Reverse, was released on 17 July 2005 and achieved gold certification, propelled by the single “Beijo (Uh La La),” which topped Romanian charts for nine weeks. The group followed with the albums Mindfields (2006) and N3XT (2007), the latter featuring “Angels (Love Is the Answer),” a single that reached number one in five countries and was certified seven-times platinum in Russia. A fourth album, Zebra, was previewed with the singles “Colors” and “Rock the World.”
After a hiatus, Morandi reunited in 2013 for the single “Everytime We Touch,” paused again in late 2014, and returned in November 2016 with “Keep You Safe,” releasing further singles through 2019. The group parted ways in 2021, and in October 2024 Randi confirmed that he and Moga had reunited to record and perform together again as Morandi. Randi is available to book for festivals, corporate events and private shows.
